I approach each wedding with a few major goals in mind: First, to capture your day in a way that is artful, stylish, and heartfelt. The photos are the only part of your wedding you get to keep forever and that’s important to me. I want the images to take you back every time you look at them.
I also want you to love how you look and have a fun, stress free experience. In a former life, I spent several years working in fashion and I’m a pro at providing direction, which brings me to my second goal: to create a fun, stress free experience. A little camera shy? No problem. Most people are. I actually hate being photographed myself. I’ll lead you step by step through prompts that will make you look like your best, most relaxed self. Of course, if you love to ham it up or are a creative type, collaboration is always welcome! Just know you won’t have to worry about what to do with your hands or finding the perfect backdrop if that’s not your thing.
I also like to chat with and get to know clients a decent amount before the big day. This makes everything more relaxed, fun, and organized. I am always up for helping to come up with a timeline that ensures you get every shot you want without missing out on too much of the party. You’re probably already figuring out that weddings often have a lot of complicated moving parts and can be full of surprises. I offer flexible booking options that allow you to choose the exact number of hours of coverage you’d like with the option to add hours at any time, even on the fly the day of your wedding! Sometimes no matter how carefully you plan, you just don’t get around to cutting that cake on schedule. No big deal!

How many photos will be in my wedding album?
Depends on how much time you book and on the flow of your day! Clients can generally expect to receive anywhere from 50-100 photos per hour booked. The number will be affected by travel between locations, lengths of meal times, and any other delays, since I won’t likely be taking photos while driving or while people are eating. No one wants that!
What will I get as a finished product?
Every couple receives a link to their digital album via email, which is hosted on www.pixieset.com. Through your album, you’ll be able to download your photos, share to social media, purchase prints, and share the link with friends and family. You will also have the print rights for your photos! This means that you’re free to download and print your photos wherever you’d like. If you need a print release form to use the company of your choice, just let me know!
Do I need a second shooter?
The only time a second shooter is absolutely necessary is if you want photos of you and your fiancé getting ready and you are both in completely different locations to start the day. Otherwise, it’s up to you!
What are the benefits of a second shooter?
Even if you don’t NEED a second shooter, there are a lot of good reasons to WANT one:
Multiple angles on each moment
Additional candid images
Efficiency- Sometimes we can divide and conquer when we’re tight on time. A second shooter also helps speed up things like setting up a first look and capturing detail shots of your venue.
Who will my second shooter be?
I’m pretty damn lucky to have a tight knit network of photographer friends who I get to work with on a regular basis. Everyone in my pool of second shooters is a seasoned professional who also runs their own photography business. I second shoot for them sometimes too! They’re all super nice, talented people who I work really well with. You’re in great hands!
How many hours of coverage do I need?
This is a tricky one that most often requires a phone call/ meet up where we sort things out together, but here are a few things to consider:
Location changes and travel time between locations (driving from ceremony to reception, if necessary, etc.)
Structure of the reception- Some people have five speeches, cake cutting, and a bouquet toss that they would like covered. Some people eat dinner and get straight to dancing, which will require less time.
Unless you are doing a special exit, you don’t need coverage until the very end of the reception. About 45 minutes of open dance floor is usually plenty of time to capture the highlights of the party. After that, I find that the photos start to become a little repetitive.
If you want getting ready photos, you need about one hour of coverage to capture that.
When will I get my photos?
The turn around time for an engagement session is two weeks. Wedding albums will be received between 6-8 weeks after your big day.
