A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of shooting Nicolle and Pete’s wedding at Oakes Ames Memorial Hall in North Easton, MA. The venue itself was definitely one of the most unique wedding venues in Massachusetts that I’ve seen to date. Oakes Ames Memorial Hall is a massive, beautiful structure from the 1800s that towers over the town of North Easton from the top of a large hill. It has medieval inspired carvings that wrap around it’s exterior and stained glass windows that create a beautiful kaleidoscope of color in its interior.
Beautiful as the venue was, it was the personal details that Nicolle and Pete added to it that really made the day special. They did an amazing job infusing their personalities and style into every last inch of their wedding. I obviously have to shout out Nicolle’s beautiful 1920’s inspired wedding gown and awesome teal hair that perfectly matched her bridesmaids’ dresses first and foremost, but it’s also worth mentioning that there was an artichoke in her bouquet! The couple also had a super fun ska band in lieu of a dj and the reception hall was covered in beautiful DIY wedding decorations.
More importantly, Oak Ames Memorial Hall was full of people who love Nicolle and Pete and their love. They brought together an amazing, fun, genuine group of people who were a total blast to spend the day with.
